Trezor Suite update August 2025

To download and install the latest update, simply open Trezor Suite and proceed using the on-screen instructions. If you’re not yet using Trezor Suite, download it for free from: https://trezor.io/trezor-suite

Please note that updates roll out in stages and you may not be prompted to update for several days after this announcement. Be the first to try new features by joining the Trezor Suite Early Access Program. Switch it on in Application Settings!

The August 2025 update of Trezor Suite to 25.8.1 brings the following improvements:

New features

  • Bitcoin can now be set as the primary currency unit, offering greater control over how values are displayed in Suite.
  • View-only wallets are now enabled by default, making it easier to monitor balances without connecting your Trezor
  • Biometric authentication with auto-lock has been added to experimental features for enhanced security and convenience.
  • WalletConnect is now officially supported – connect your Trezor to dApps safely, with transaction simulations included.
  • Trezor Connect is out of experimental features – connect your Trezor to supported apps through a secure Trezor Suite interface (availability depends on third-party wallet updates).

Improvements

  • Minimum Bitcoin fee rate has been lowered to 0.1 sat/vB, giving more flexibility in choosing low-cost transaction options
  • The "Speed up" transaction feature has been improved for better performance and reliability.
  • Locktime functionality has been enhanced for increased precision in transaction timing.
  • Send options have been streamlined—Locktime and Broadcast settings are now neatly organized under Advanced Send.

Bug Fixes

  • Minor bugs have been resolved, along with general usability enhancements for a more reliable and seamless experience.
