Which devices are compatible with Trezor Suite Lite, and how can I ensure it works properly on my device?

The Trezor Suite Lite mobile app is designed to work seamlessly on devices running iOS 14 and higher, as well as Android 8 and higher. This means that you can download and use the app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, as well as on your Android smartphone or tablet.
 

To ensure that you can use the app on your mobile device, make sure that your operating system is up to date. The app may not work properly on older versions of iOS or Android.


Is the Trezor Suite Lite mobile app free?

Yes, Trezor Suite Lite is free to download and use.


Is the mobile app secure?

Yes, the mobile app is secure. Your cryptocurrency assets are protected with encryption and multi-factor authentication. The mobile app uses the same security protocols as the Trezor hardware wallet, which is widely regarded as one of the safest ways to store cryptocurrency.


The mobile app does not store any private keys or sensitive information on your mobile device. This means that even if your phone is lost or stolen, your cryptocurrency assets are still safe and protected.


Can I update the firmware on my Trezor hardware wallet via the mobile app?

No, it is not possible to update the firmware on your Trezor hardware wallet via the mobile app.

To update the firmware on your Trezor device, you will need to use the Trezor Suite desktop or web app.

  • Android users can update firmware using the the Trezor Suite web app for Chrome directly on their phone
  • iOS users will need to connect their Trezor to a computer in order to update via Trezor Suite

Android users can check the firmware status of a connected device by clicking on the top switcher bar, then clicking Device info:

What can I do with the Trezor Suite Lite?

The mobile app mainly serves as a companion to the desktop/web version of Trezor Suite. For all mobile devices it functions as a Portfolio Tracker, allowing you to monitor transactions and receive funds.


Android users can also connect their Trezor hardware wallet directly to their mobile device, for additional functionality, including generating and verifying receiving addresses on the go, without needing to go via the desktop/web application.


Is Trezor Suite Lite a standalone wallet?

No, the mobile app cannot be used as a standalone wallet. It is designed to work as a companion to the desktop/web version of Trezor Suite as a way to keep up with your Trezor portfolio on the go.


What is a public key (XPUB)? Or receive address?

An XPUB is a master public key for hierarchical deterministic wallets like bitcoin, generating multiple child keys and receive addresses for improved privacy. Ethereum uses a single, unchanging address for all transactions. For Ethereum, share only your address, while keeping your private key secure.


Why don't I see my coin listed?

Trezor Suite Lite currently supports a limited number of cryptocurrencies. If your coin is not listed, it may not be compatible with the app. However, Trezor regularly adds support for new coins, so check back periodically to see which coins have been added.


How do I send crypto in Trezor Suite Lite?

Trezor Suite Lite is a watch-only portfolio tracker, which means it is designed to help you monitor your cryptocurrency holdings and transactions. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to send crypto using Trezor Suite Lite. To send crypto, use the full version of Trezor Suite with your Trezor hardware wallet. This will provide you with the necessary security and functionality to manage and perform transactions with your cryptocurrencies.


Can I access my passphrase-protected hidden wallet(s)?

Not yet, but we are working on enabling this feature in a feature release.


Can I add a new coin or account?

Currently, Trezor Suite Lite only discovers assets with an existing transaction history. This means you cannot enable coins (to get a receive address) that do not have an associated transaction history; new coins and accounts can only be enabled in the desktop or web version of Trezor Suite.
