Where is my Ethereum?

Find missing ETH in Trezor Suite

Have you sent Ether (ETH) or tokens to your Trezor Ethereum address, but it is not showing in Trezor Suite?

This usually happens for one of these reasons:

  • You sent tokens to the token’s contract address by mistake.
  • You sent ETH/tokens on a different (non-Ethereum) network like BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, etc.
  • You sent ETH to an Ethereum Classic (ETC) address by mistake.

Start by verifying the destination address and the network used for the transfer. Then follow the section that matches your situation below.

Tokens sent to the contract address

If your tokens have not appeared in your account, first verify you sent them to your Trezor account address, not a token contract address.

If you accidentally sent ERC-20 tokens to the contract address of the token itself, the tokens may be stuck in the contract and cannot be retrieved. This is because the contract may not include a function that allows those tokens to be withdrawn.

Unfortunately, Trezor support cannot recover tokens sent directly to a token contract address. In some cases, recovery may still be possible if the contract includes a “rescue” or “recover tokens” function. To confirm, compare the destination address with the token’s official contract address and check whether the contract exposes any recovery mechanism. If it does, contact the token/project team and include the transaction hash (TxID) and details of the transfer.

If the contract does not provide a recovery mechanism, the tokens cannot be retrieved.

ETH or tokens sent via the wrong network

EVM networks use the same address format as Ethereum. This means the same 0x… address can exist on multiple networks. If you sent ETH or tokens on a different EVM network than intended, the funds are still controlled by your Trezor keys, but they may not appear in Trezor Suite.

This most commonly happens when withdrawing from an exchange, because exchanges often offer cheaper or faster withdrawal options such as BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and other EVM networks. If you chose a different network than Ethereum mainnet, your funds will only be visible in a wallet that supports that network.

Check Trezor Suite support first: Confirm which network you used for the transfer (shown in the exchange withdrawal details and on the transaction in a block explorer). Then check whether that network is supported in Trezor Suite on trezor.io/coins

If it’s supported, make sure the coin/network is enabled in Trezor Suite settings, then reload the account.

If the network you used is not supported in Trezor Suite, you can still access and manage the assets by pairing your Trezor with a third-party wallet that supports that network using Trezor Connect, such as MetaMask or Rabby Wallet. Visit MetaMask and Trezor or Rabby Wallet and Trezor for more information.

Once connected, switch the wallet to the same network you used (or add it if it’s missing). MetaMask’s official guide is How to add a custom network.
