Astroid is a community-driven meme token on Solana built around an original drawing of a Space Shiba Inu created by Liv Perrotto. The drawing served as the blueprint and went to space as the first zero-gravity indicator aboard SpaceX’s Polaris Dawn mission on 10th September 2024.
The project functions as a charity-first meme coin. 25% of pump.fun creator fees are automatically routed on-chain to a verifiable St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital wallet (via ALSAC) with no team intervention, with more charites to come. The website (astroid.space) provides free, kid-safe interactive experiences: naming stars with printable certificates, submitting wishes to a public wall, and coloring pages based on Liv’s original drawing.
A holders club (astroid.club) is planned for community perks and events. The token has no formal utility beyond governance potential in a fully community-owned structure following its CTO (community takeover) launch. It serves as a cultural symbol celebrating space exploration, creativity, and charitable giving inspired by one child’s artwork. All activities emphasize transparency, with on-chain donation tracking and public verification of the original drawing’s history.
