This is a beautiful device and their current flagship. It works great. The thing that I'm missing is XMR support on the software side. But don't get me wrong, the hardware supports XMR! I can't understand why they don't add it to Trezor Suite as well tho, the hoops you have to jump through to use it with this Safe 7 hardware on third party wallet programs are very annoying since a lot of them don't support the protocol needed to use Safe 7 (yet). For a flagship device I think they should really add support to the software! But I'm rambling. This is an amazing device.

The build feels solid. It’s not a toy.
Typing words in Nokia phone fashion is annoying, but not the end of the world. It will turn off anyone born past 2004.
The pairing was a bit annoying, do I press phone first or wallet first? Once it’s working, the integration is seamless. It feels a bit overpriced imo. I think it’s worth $200 not $250, but considering the build, the pricing for the competition, it’s expected. My thing is, this tech is not that pricey.
If I had to compare the wallets I currently hold, Tangem, Ledger Flex, Blockstream Jade Plus, and the Trezor Safe 7.
Wallet alone, I prefer
# 1 Trezor Safe 7, ease of use, build quality, touch screen, on screen address verification.
# 2 ledger Flex, same as above on e-ink is sluggish. The sounds on it are retro but annoying.
# 3 Jade plus, institution grade protection. But the lack of secure element chip means that if Blockstream gets out of the game, you’ve to buy another wallet or use it with another app. It’s not bad, but the two above are more convenient.
# 4 Tangem. Tangem wins with convenience, but in this day and age of hackers, you can’t trust your phone screen. In my opinion, Tangem is a warm wallet, not a cold wallet. You depend on the app 100% trusting that what is on screen is what is actually happening. If your phone is compromised, you’re in trouble. Also, the above 3 wallets work with multiple platforms. Tangem is stuck with cellphone only. That’s not a feature, it’s a flaw.
If we are talking about the combination of the App and the Device, I think
# 1 Blockstream Jade because of QR signing, giving you an air gap option. I think Trezor should get creative and see if they can do QR transactions without a camera. Don’t know how, but that would be cool.
# 2 Ledger Flex lets me customize my display with an e-ink image. This has many use cases.
# 3 Trezor safe 7 is nice. It does the job.
# 4 Tangem is ok, but due to its reliance on cellphone screen to validate transactions, it’s a warm wallet for me.
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. I wish I had. Only paid $200. But I like the competition.
