Use Trezor Suite in your browser (web app)

Trezor Suite has a web app you can open in your browser at suite.trezor.io/web. You get the same Trezor Suite interface as the installed app, but it runs on a website, so there's nothing to download.

For most people, though, the installed Trezor Suite app is the better choice, and we'll explain why below.

Connect your Trezor in a browser

You'll need a Chromium-based browser: Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Opera. Firefox and Safari won't work, because they don't support WebUSB.

  • Open suite.trezor.io/web.
  • Plug in your Trezor with the USB cable, and enter your PIN.
  • When the browser asks for permission to access the device, allow it.

If your Trezor isn't detected, check that the cable is a data cable, not charge-only. For more help, see OS requirements for Trezor.

Check the address bar reads exactly suite.trezor.io before connecting. Trezor Suite will never ask for your wallet backup. Enter your backup words only on your Trezor device, never in a browser or app.

Is bluetooth supported?

No, the Trezor Suite web app works over USB only. To connect over Bluetooth, use the Trezor Suite desktop or mobile app instead.

For how wireless pairing works, see Trezor Bluetooth connections.

Where the web app works

The Trezor Suite web app works on computers and Android phones, but not on iPhone or iPad:

  • Computer (Windows, macOS, Linux): works in a Chromium browser.
  • Android: works in a Chromium browser, connected over USB. For a wireless connection, use the mobile app.
  • iPhone and iPad: USB not supported. Use the Trezor Suite mobile app with bluetooth instead.

Web app or the installed app?

The web app is handy when installing software isn't an option. For everyday use, we recommend the Trezor Suite desktop or mobile app, which gives you:

  • Bluetooth pairing on supported devices
  • Better performance
  • More features
