Can I use Trezor Safe 7 without Bluetooth?
Of course. You can connect it to a computer using a USB-C cable just like our previous models. If you would prefer to disable the Bluetooth, you can do it in the device settings.

Is wireless connectivity possible on both mobile and desktop?
Yes. Bluetooth already works on macOS, Windows, and Linux for desktop devices, and on iOS and Android for mobile devices.
You can use your Trezor Safe 7 wirelessly with your MacBook, iPhone, or any other compatible device running the above mentioned operating systems.
Can Trezor Safe 7 be used via USB if the battery dies?
Yes. The device works normally when plugged in using the USB-C cable provided.
Is there a wired only version of Trezor Safe 7 without Bluetooth or a battery?
Not at this time.
Battery, hardware and longevity
How long will Trezor Safe 7 last compared to previous models?
Its aluminum body and Gorilla Glass screen make it the most durable Trezor yet. As with all Trezor devices, keep it stored in a safe and secure location for maximum longevity.
What is the expected battery life of the Trezor Safe 7?
A full charge lasts about a day of normal use and holds power well in standby.
Can I replace the battery in the Trezor Safe 7?
No. It is built in and designed for long life.
Could the battery in Trezor Safe 7 swell or cause damage?
The LiFePO₄ chemistry is more stable and safer than common lithium ion batteries. Swelling is extremely unlikely.
What is the lifetime of the Trezor Safe 7 battery?
LiFePO₄ batteries can last many years and more than a thousand charge cycles.
Why does Trezor Safe 7 use LiFePO₄ instead of lithium ion?
It is safer, lasts longer, and handles full discharge better.

Security and architecture
Why use two secure elements in Trezor Safe 7?
Two chips create defense in depth. If one layer fails, the other still protects your wallet.
How do the dual secure elements in Trezor Safe 7 protect the device?
Each secure element verifies part of the PIN logic and protects its own secrets. No single chip holds everything, so breaking one is not enough.
What happens if one secure element fails?
The second secure element still blocks unauthorized access.

What tamper sensors are included in Trezor Safe 7?
Both chips include voltage, temperature, and laser detection that can block operations or wipe secrets if tampering is detected.
How does quantum-ready security work on Trezor Safe 7?
Trezor Safe 7 uses post quantum cryptography in its hardware verification layer. This prepares it to verify future quantum resistant firmware once quantum computers become practical. Blockchains will also need to upgrade before funds are fully protected.

Trezor Safe 7 verifies firmware with both classical and post quantum signatures. If one scheme is broken in the future, the other still protects the device.

Yes. It works with all major operating systems through Trezor Suite and third party wallets.
Which third party wallets and dApps does Trezor Safe 7 support?

Yes. Trezor Safe 7 works as a FIDO2 security key.
Can users add custom networks manually in Trezor Suite?
No. Custom networks can be added only through third party wallet apps that support them.

Can Trezor Safe 7 connect to an external keyboard?
No. External input devices are not supported for security reasons.
Will limited editions or special colors return for Trezor Safe 7?

You can recover your existing wallet safely or create a new wallet on your Trezor Safe 7.
How do I update firmware on older Trezor devices?
Connect the device to Trezor Suite and follow the update prompt.
Can I restore my wallet backup on Trezor Safe 7 without a computer?
You must start the recovery from Trezor Suite.
However, if you already have recovered your wallet to your Trezor Safe 7 (or created a new one), you check your backup's validity directly on the device using its battery and touchscreen, without being connected to Trezor Suite.
