Trezor Safe 7 is designed to support future post-quantum upgrades from the moment it leaves the factory. Three things are already protected by post-quantum cryptography today: the boot process, firmware updates, and device authentication. The boardloader uses SLH-DSA-128 to verify firmware signatures, and the device certificate uses ML-DSA-44 for attestation.
This means that if quantum computing makes serious advances in the next few years, your Trezor Safe 7 will be able to run quantum-ready firmware.
