Introduction to the Trezor Safe 7 Bitcoin-only Edition
Trezor Safe 7 Bitcoin-only Edition is the latest device in the Trezor Safe Family, built specifically for Bitcoin holders. It runs Bitcoin-only firmware for a streamlined self-custody experience, with the same hardware and design as the standard Trezor Safe 7.

Built for Bitcoin holders
With no support for altcoins or tokens, Bitcoin-only firmware gives you a simpler interface and a smaller attack surface than the standard firmware.

The first wireless Trezor
You can connect your Trezor Safe 7 to a computer or mobile device over a secure Bluetooth connection. Manage your assets in Trezor Suite anytime, anywhere, with a seamless wireless experience.
Trezor Safe 7 wireless capabilities extend to both iOS and Android.
Premium design, built to last
Made from aluminum with Gorilla® Glass and a reinforced glass backplate, Trezor Safe 7 is crafted for durability. Our largest, high-resolution color touchscreen to date and haptic feedback make interactions smooth and intuitive.
Trezor Safe 7 is IP54 rated, which means it's protected against dust and splashes. It’s tough, but it's still not boating-accident proof.
Three hardware layers of security
Trezor Safe 7 is the first hardware wallet to feature TROPIC01, the world's only independently auditable secure element. Anyone can verify how it works. TROPIC01 is developed by Tropic Square, a SatoshiLabs company.
Alongside TROPIC01, Trezor Safe 7 includes OPTIGA Trust M, an EAL6+ certified, NDA-free secure element from Infineon — the same chip used in Trezor Safe 3 and Trezor Safe 5. These two secure elements work alongside the STM32U5, a hardened security MCU from STMicroelectronics, as three hardware layers of security in Trezor Safe 7.
Ready for the quantum future
Trezor Safe 7 is the world's first quantum-ready hardware wallet. Its boot process, firmware updates, and device authentication are all protected with post-quantum cryptography — using SLH-DSA-128 for device integrity and ML-DSA-44 for signing.
When quantum computing grows powerful enough to challenge today's cryptography, your device will already have the foundation it needs to adapt through future firmware updates.
The first battery-powered Trezor
Trezor Safe 7 is built to last, with a battery designed for safety, stability, and dependable use. When powered off, it preserves its charge for long periods.
Charging is effortless with magnetic wireless support. Simply place it on any Qi2-compatible pad and it secures itself for a steady charge every time.
If you prefer to a wired connection, your Trezor will function as usual using the USB-C cable provided.
Flexible backup options
By default, Trezor Safe 7 uses a Single-share Backup, a 20-word recovery method based on the SLIP39 standard (also known as Shamir's Secret Sharing or Shamir Backup).
This modern format replaces older 12- or 24-word BIP39 backups as the default and offers greater security and flexibility; but rest assured, BIP39 wallet backups are supported as legacy backup types.
For advanced protection, you can choose a Multi-share Backup removing the risk of losing access if a single backup is lost or stolen.
For the ultimate security, you can use Trezor Keep Metal to record your wallet backup in aerospace grade steel, protecting it from fires, floods and the elements.
The official making-of documentary
To mark the launch of Trezor Safe 7, we made a documentary that shows how the device came to life. You can watch it here:
